Last summer, I was contacted by cultural historian Xun Zhou, who was writing a book on the history of karaoke, requesting permission to use this photo I’d taken of Alix singing at the infamous Austin Korean Karaoke. Gladly, I agreed, of course – and have now been contacted again because the book is now available on Amazon. The book is entitled KARAOKE: THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON.
